Requirement
The Greenfreight Group comprises several specialist
companies with operations in both New South Wales and
Victoria.
From a management point of view
Greenfright needed to improve the operational
management and reporting structures of
each company within the group.
The incumbent system was operationally
outdated; the accounting, particularly aged debtors and inter
company transfers, was inadequate whilst the reporting capabilities
were antiquated! We needed a more sophisticated management
information system that could meet the needs of our group now, and
could grow with us into the future.
TransLogix Solution
We reviewed eight (8) national and international
suppliers before deciding on a shortlist of TransLogix and another
supplier. We appointed TransLogix for two main
reasons.
Firstly they really took the time to understand our business and
our information needs. As a result, their Sapphire demonstration
was quite specific to Greenfreight so we could immediately see the
quality of the solution and how it would benefit our business.
Secondly, Sapphire is a more user friendly product. We all felt
comfortable with the screens, how easy it is to manage operations,
and how easy it is to move from one to another.
We commissioned several integrated Sapphire modules
including Transport Operations, Accounting, Workshop, Web Server
and Scanning.
